Another drug operation shut down in Okeechobee

OKEECHOBEE — On Feb. 1, 2023, Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force members conducted an undercover narcotics operation within Okeechobee County, targeting a suspected Fentanyl dealer providing this deadly drug to our community.

During the operation, the suspected dealer agreed to meet and sell the undercover operative $1,000 worth of Fentanyl at a local fast-food restaurant.
 
The subject advised he would be traveling from Palm Beach County, to which the operative directed the dealer to the local fast-food restaurant.
 
Upon arriving at the fast food store, four  subjects were detained and arrested for conspiracy to sell Fentanyl.
 
The subjects were Clayton Adams, 20) Andre Douglas, 20, Jamiere Murray, 19, and Christopher Murray, 20.
 
Jamari removed a plastic sandwich bag containing numerous suspected Fentanyl capsules from his buttocks.
 
The 44 suspected Fentanyl capsules weighed approximately 8.1 grams  which field tested positive for Fentanyl.
 
Adams and Douglas advised they both were on probation, and Christopher Murray advised he was out of jail on bond for a pending robbery charge out of Miami.
 
Adam's vehicle was towed to the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office impound lot, where it will be stored and is pending seizure procedures.
