Bethel Baptist Church hosts Homeless Care Connect Fair

OKEECHOBEE — Heads, Hearts and Hands of Heartland Inc. (HHH of Heartland, Inc.) will hold a Homeless Care Connect Fair on Wednesday through Friday, Jan. 26 through Friday, Jan. 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church grounds located at 1258 N.E. 13th Ave in Okeechobee.

Free items to be distributed include showers, clothes, food, hygiene kits, blankets, counseling/support group sign-in.

You can pick up applications for the following:
• Homeless prevention,

• Rehousing,
• Permanent supportive house,
• SOAR - Social Security Disability application assistance.

Call HHH at 863-451-2230 or 863-657-2223 if you are behind on your rent or lost your own place for the following reasons:

• Behind on rent due to COVID, loss of income or a job, illness, or if another reason was the cause of income.
• If you lost your own home, due to COVID or another situation, and are disabled and homeless, and without your own place.
