OKEECHOBEE — The Big O Teen Anglers held their September tournament on Saturday, Sept. 24 out of Okee-Tantie with 15 anglers participating. It was a very tough day of fishing with most anglers not catching a single bass. There were only nine fish caught weighing in at 8.64 pounds. The largest bass caught was in the 9-13 age group at 1.57 pounds by Baylee Stephens.
This month’s standings for April were as follows:
9-13 Age Group
Every month boat captains t volunteer their Saturday morning to the youth anglers. Thanks go to Terry Seabolt, Paul Lynch, Justin Whidden, Jamie Stephens, Patrick Cote, Norris Newhouse, David Diehl and Billy Ellerbee.
If you know a youth angler between the ages of 9-19 who loves fishing or is interested in learning a new sport, please reach out to Danielle at 561-436-8491 or bota.danielle@gmail.com.
