OKEECHOBEE — The 15th Annual Okeechobee Blood Roundup will happen Nov. 21 and 22 at the Freshman Campus Auditorium. However, because blood supplies are so low, the Big Red Bus goes out as often as possible to get more blood.
If you are scheduled to donate before the Roundup, please do so, but remember, you would still be able to donate platelets at the Roundup. Platelets can be donated as often as once a week for as many as 24 platelet donations a year. They don’t want the weeks to be together, but spread throughout the year. So you can donate now and still donate platelets at the Roundup.
