Chamber of Commerce News

OKEECHOBEE — Below is the Chamber of Commerce news and events beginning Thursday, Feb. 25.

Chamber After Hours - On Thursday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. the Chamber of Commerce will host our first After Hours of 2021 at the City’s new Centennial Park located at 216 S.E. Sixth Ave. Have you ever had the experience of speed dating? Well this will be a fun event where instead of speed dating, we will be speed networking! A great way for each of us to learn a little more about each person in attendance. We will have cards made up with questions that you can use to ask of each person, or you can prepare a few questions ahead of time, or just use whatever questions come to mind as you meet them. Your choice, just make it fun and informative. We will still be following CDC guidelines by social distancing and wearing masks is encouraged to protect all who attend. Don’t miss out on our first After Hours of the year and come join in the speed networking! We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday, Feb. 25.

Ribbon Cutting/Grand Opening for Boujee Cactus Co. - There will be a ribbon cutting and grand opening for Boujee Cactus Co. on Saturday, March 6 beginning at 10 a.m., located at 2825 S.W. Third Terrace. Lite pre-packaged refreshments will be available and the store will be open for your shopping pleasure from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you haven’t seen jewelry revealed from a fizz bomb, you might want to try your luck! Amy Daniel is proud of her new facility and business and will be more than happy to show you around the store. It’s also Amy’s very special birthday, but don’t tell anyone! Come join in the fun and be sure and arrive in time for the photo opportunity at the ribbon cutting. Hope to see you there!
