• Ribbon Cutting/Grand Opening event: In January, TowBoatUS Lake Allatoona, Georgia, was awarded “Tower of the Year” at the annual gathering of the nationwide TowBoatUS on-water towing and assistance fleet. Today, the company’s owner, Capt. Chris Day, is growing his 24-hour service that helps boaters get safely home after a breakdown by adding two additional locations, TowBoatUS Lake Okeechobee and TowBoatUS LaBelle. The Lake Okeechobee outfit will hold a Grand Opening Ceremony on Thursday, May 20, at their launch location Taylor Creek RV Resort 2730 U.S. 441 S.E. at noon.
