Our Rise Up with the Chamber will be on Feb. 24, from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. at Our Village, 205 NE Second Street. Leah and her amazing board and staff have made such fantastic strides in helping those in need in our community. Make sure to mark your calendars for this early morning Rise Up and come see and hear about all the exciting new programs and services that are coming to our area through Leah’s continued diligence of bringing much needed services to Okeechobee. Light refreshments will be served.

You’ll want to make sure and attend the Ribbon cutting for the 40 year celebration of Los Cocos on Friday, Feb. 25, from 5 to 6 p.m. at 107 NW Fifth Ave.

Yolanda and John are proud to be serving our community for 40 years with great food and customer service. We’re excited to be sharing this milestone with them and look forward to a great turnout showing them our support. There will be many specials that evening so plan on staying for dinner after the ribbon cutting, you won’t be disappointed. Ribbon cutting and photo promptly at 5:15 p.m. Hope to see you there.

Join us for the Ribbon cutting for the new United Way of St. Lucie and Okeechobee County celebration. The United Way of St. Lucie County is proud to announce it’s now the United Way of St. Lucie and Okeechobee. This will be uniting our residents with much needed services and resources. Join us March 10 at noon as we host a grand “RE-opening” of our United Way Okeechobee House located at 208 North Parrott Avenue. Stop in, meet the staff, learn about their funding programs and services available to you and explore ways you can help Okeechobee LIVE UNITED.
