A Google workshop class  is set for Tuesday, March 8 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The class will be held in the chamber conference room, 55 S Parrott Ave.
Learn how to use YouTube and the power of video to promote your business or brand. This workshop will cover: How to create a YouTube channel, adding videos and organize your channel, and how to promote your business with video ads. You can sign up online at www.okeechobeebusiness.com. You’ll see the class scrolling on the left side of the page, click into the class and then register. Limited seating, register early. Join us for the Ribbon cutting for the new United Way of St. Lucie and Okeechobee County celebration. The United Way of St. Lucie County is proud to announce it’s now the United Way of St. Lucie and Okeechobee. This will be uniting our residents with much needed services and resources. Join us March 10 at noon as we host a Grand Re-opening of our United Way Okeechobee House located at 208 North Parrott Ave. Stop in, meet the staff, learn about their funding programs and services available to you and explore ways you can help Okeechobee LIVE UNITED.

Our March Rise Up with the Chamber will be on Wednesday, March 16 from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. at OK Corral Gun Club located at 9449 N.E. 49th St. Camilia and her team will be sharing the activities that are happening now and some of the new ones upcoming. If you have time, you’ll want to stay and look around the property. We’ll have two other guests speakers to tell us about their organizations also. Light refreshments will be available. Mark your calendars and we hope to see you there.

“Sweets with Google” – Tuesday, March 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reserve your seat now for the first Google Livestream of the year! Only 20 seats will be available for this information packed event. Learning Objective: Anyone with a website or business presence online can benefit from search engine optimization (SEO), the process of helping search engines find and display your site in search results. Hosted by one of Google’s internal SEO experts, this workshop will give you a behind-the-scenes view into how Google approaches SEO for its own sites. You will learn practical strategies that you or your web development team can implement to help drive traffic from Google Search to your site.
