Join in the 50-year anniversary celebration for Garrard’s Bait and Tackle on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mark your calendars and let’s help them celebrate an amazing 50 years of service to our community. They’re celebrating all their loyal customers too with a customer appreciation and 20% off Storewide. There will be vendor displays and BBQ lunch from noon until it’s gone. Be sure and congratulate them on this milestone anniversary.

Join the Chamber of Commerce of Okeechobee County in spreading Christmas joy and laughter to local senior citizens this holiday!
The Chamber will collect #Socks4Seniors through Friday, Dec. 16 for local Senior Facilities and then package the bright, fun, crazy, fuzzy NON-SKIDD socks to deliver just in time for Christmas and would love your help! When we receive enough socks, they are delivered to the Okeechobee Health Care facility, Grand Oaks, Hospice, Senior Services, Shut-ins, Martha’s House, Homeless individuals, and others.

You can help by:
• Donating bright, fun, fuzzy, crazy NON-SKIDD socks
• Volunteering to package socks on Dec. 16th at 10:00 AM
• Spread the word

In case you haven’t heard, Santa has given the Chamber an elf this year and we named him Jolly. He has been given the responsibility of visiting many of our Chamber businesses to see what they have to offer as a reminder for us to “Shop Local” this season. Be sure to keep up with all the businesses that Jolly finds time to visit and let’s SHOP LOCAL really big this year. You’ll be able to keep track daily on our Facebook page as well as we will send out a weekly update to our members of his many visits. You can even stop by the Chamber and get your picture taken with Jolly, he loves having visitors.
