City celebrates Municipal Clerks' Week

Posted

OKEECHOBEE — City Clerk Lane Gamiotea accepted a proclamation setting April 30-May 6 as Municipal Clerks Week during the Okeechobee City Council's April 18 meeting. Gamiotea has served in the city clerks’ office for more than 30 years, first as deputy city clerk and later as city clerk. She thanked her staff members, deputy city clerk Heather  Prince and administrative secretary Katie Rogers, for making her job easier and said that everything they do is a team effort, and she hopes they stay with her for a long, long time. Mayor Dowling Watford said he believed they had the best clerk’s team anywhere.
