City thanks county employees

OKEECHOBEE -- At the Feb. 10 meeting of the Okeechobee County Board of County Commissioners, Okeechobee City Administrator Gary Ritter, presented Certificates of Appreciation to  county employees for their knowledge, support and assistance in several areas.

Those employees are:
 
• Assistant to County Administrator/Special Projects, Russell Rowland, who was instrumental in providing assistance to the City on issues regarding Waste Management and Code Enforcement;
 
•  Bureau Chief of Community Risk Reduction/Fire Marshal, Justin Hazellief, who was instrumental in the process and transfer of City Fire Department to Okeechobee County Fire Rescue; and,
 
• Community Services Director Denise Whitehead, who was instrumental in providing support with city parks and recreation and providing informative information regarding grant funding and how the city could secure some of that funding.
