OKEECHOBEE -- Community heroes Wade Hunt and Jason Ferrell are at it again, with Ferrel raising funds to help Hunt build a ramp for  someone in need.  M.J . And William  recently found themelves in dire need of a ramp after MJ.'s neck surgery. Not only has she had this surgery, but she will be undergoing two more neck surgeries and a back surgery.  They also have a friend living in their home who recently went through back surgery.

A friend reached out to Wade Hunt knowing he often built ramps for people in the community free of charge, and he agreed to help. Hunt normally builds ramps for veterns but agreed to make an exception in this case if he could get some help with the cost of the supplies.

Hunt went to Jason Ferrell who is also known for helping people in Okeechobee, although he usually helps children.  He too agreed to make an exception for the couple, and beginning Tuesday, Oct. 12, Ferrell's Market will be selling pulled pork and rib dinners with a choice of two sides, beans, cole slaw or chips for $9. The proceeds will go to help build the ramp. The meals will be avaliable from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. at 820 N.W. Park St.

Please come out and help with this community fundraiser.

If you would like to donate to the cause or help build the ramp, call Hunt at 863-634-8800.
