OKEECHOBEE -- According to the Florida Department of Health, since the pandemic started, 68 Okeechobee County deaths have been COVID-19 related. Okeechobee County residents who deaths were related to the virus ranged in age form 29 to 94.
Statewide, 27,457 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported.
FDOH data shows 336 Okeechobee County residents and 14 non-residents have been hospitalized related to COVID-19 since the pandemic started in 2020.
As of Feb. 5, 12 Okeechobee County residents were hospitalized due to COVID-19, according to the Agency for Health Care Administration.
According to FDOH, 2,739 people in Okeechobee County had been vaccinated for COVID-19 as of Feb. 3.
