OKEECHOBEE  -- The Curative COVID-19 testing site at the Okeechobee Agri-Civic Center temporarily closed today (Jan. 10) due to a staffing shortage.

Okeechobee County residents are encouraged to call any testing or vaccination location in advance to ensure availability.

The highly contagious COVID-19 Omicron variant has caused many staffing shortages. Last week, the Curative testing site in Okeechobee closed on Thursday, due to lack sufficient staff, but was able to reopen on Friday.
