Volunteers needed to help Head Start children learn about gardening

Posted

OKEECHOBEE — Share your love of gardening with HeadStart children.  Head Start children are planting gardens at our Indian River County and Okeechobee County sites.

Would you like to help? The program is seeking gardening volunteers. If you are interested, please contact The Economic Opportunities Council Health and Nutrition Specialist, Jennifer Kozaczek at 772-562-4177 Ext. 2119 or jkozaczek@eocofirc.net. There are many volunteer opportunities in the garden. THe most immediate need is to schedule volunteers who can help with watering during our winter break which runs from Dec. 18 to Jan. 2.
