MOORE HAVEN -- First Bank celebrated 100 years of service and centinnial celebration at the Bronson Arena in Moore Haven on Nov. 16. The event was the culmination of the bank's Customer Appreciation Days at all bank branches.

First Bank paid for five food vendors with three entrees and two desserts and attendees received a First Bank stadium seat cushion.

First Bank CEO, Carey Soud, spoke to the crowd first about what it took to reach 100 years and First Bank’s legacy. Attendees enjoyed a premier of the centennial video that goes over the bank's rich history. (The link to the video is here.) Chairman of the Board, Miller Couse, introduced the keynote speaker, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.

Huckabee spoke about faith in business, touching on how an institution having Christian beliefs as a part of its core values is something you don’t see much anymore. He also spoke about how being in business for 100 years is not an easy achievement and how imperative it is to have a bank for a community to grow. His final talking point was that First Bank is a shining light in our community, welcoming all through its doors whether that’s for a safe place to keep their money, for when a family needs to buy a home or when a farmer needs help to get his seed in the ground.

Approximatly 700 people in attended the event.
