Free walk-up COVID-19 testing Sept. 30

OKEECHOBEE — The Florida Department of Health in Okeechobee will offer free walk-up testing for COVID-19 at 1728 N.W. Ninth Street in Okeechobee on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Parking and the walk-up testing site will be behind the Okeechobee County Health Department building.

The testing is free. No insurance is needed. It is open to the public, regardless of symptoms. Children may be tested with parental consent but must be able to hold still for testing without restraint.

Results are expected to be available within 48 hours.

Free COVID-19 testing is available for those who have symptoms from the Florida Department of Health in Okeechobee County, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. To make an appointment, call 863-462-5800, option 3.
