Gilbert Ford and Gilbert Chevrolet host Lego contests

Posted

OKEECHOBEE – Gilbert Ford and Gilbert Chevrolet in Okeechobee are hosting Lego contests for the kids.

“We want to see who has the wildest, most creative, most fun, design idea for a truck made entirely from Legos! The crazier, the better. Use your imagination to its fullest!” said J.D. Mixon.

Once you complete your Lego truck, have your parents or guardian bring you and your Lego truck to Gilbert Ford, 3175 US-441, in Okeechobee or Gilbert Chevrolet, 3550 US-441.

All entries must be in Okeechobee by Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021.

Kids can enter both competitions, but can only win one of the two events.

Contest Rules

  • Kid Creators must be age 12 and under to enter.
  • Entries must be your own creation, not a LEGO-designed kit, not a project found online, and not from a magazine, etc. This is all about their imagination.
  • Creators need to build their own truck with minimal help from anyone else.
  • Each creator may enter up to two different Lego trucks.
  • Once their truck creation is completed, bring it to the sales department at Gilbert Ford or Gilbert Chevrolet to be photographed. After the Lego creation is photographed, it can be taken back home.

Voting will be online from Dec. 13-26 at GilbertFord.com/LEGO and GilbertChevrolet.com/LEGO.

Winners will be announced on Dec. 27.

The winner in the Gilbert Ford contest will receive a Ford Raptor Lego kit. (The Lego website lists this kit at $99.99)

The winner in the Gilbert Chevrolet contest will receive a Chevy Covertte Zr1 Lego kit. (According to the Lego website, this kit is retired.)
