MOORE HAVEN – The Glades County School District will host a Spring Cleaning sale on April 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the bus compound, 599 10th Street. There will be a "sneak peek" at 8:30 a.m.
"For years the schools have been accumulating stuff that has been thrown in storage," explained Superintendent of Schools Beth Barfield. School officials will be cleaning out and selling items removed from inventory.
Items to be sold include office furniture, desks, kitchen equipment, appliances, book shelves, recreation equipment, file cabinets, vending machines, lawn mowers and more.
All items are "as is" and there will be no returns.
All sales are "first come, first served." The school district will not hold items. They district will not sell items before the advertised day of the sale. Prices will be marked for a quick sale and everything is expected to go rapdily.
Cars will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Buyers must pay with cash and all purchases must be removed from school property immediately after the sale.
"You may want to bring your trailer to load up all that you want to purchase," Barfield added.
