Brian Greseth

OKEECHOBEE- At their June 8 meeting, Okeechobee School Board Members approved the appointment of Brian Greseth as principal of Yearling Middle School.

The former YMS principal is returning to his old school at the end of June, replacing David Krakoff, who accepted a principal position in his native Pennsylvania.  

Greseth has served as a principal at both the elementary and middle school levels and has guided four different schools to “A” or “B” grades from the Florida Department of Education.  Most recently he served as director of administrative services with Glades County School District during the second semester of this past school year.

"Brian Greseth has been selected to return as principal of Yearling Middle School," said  Superintendent Ken Kenworthy in an email to school staff. "Most of you know Mr. Greseth and some of you may have even worked for him when he was at Yearling before. If you did, you'll remember he is a proven instructional leader with the ability to build relationships with staff and families which were the two most important qualities you identified in the survey. "

“We appreciate all that Mr. Krakoff has accomplished in his time here with us.  We are fortunate to have grown from his leadership as well and wish him the very best," concluded Kenworthy. "We know that transition is always hard. Having someone who knows you, knows Yearling and can continue to lead YMS forward is a great benefit that students, parents, staff and teachers can enjoy.”
