Santa at City Hall

OKEECHOBEE – Santa will be at Okeechobee City Hall on Dec. 7 and 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. Stop by for a photo with Santa!

Santa in the Park

OKEECHOBEE – Okeechobee Kiwanis Club will host Santa in Flagler Park #4 on Dec. 10 and Dec. 16 through 21, from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Christmas Parade & Festival planned

OKEECHOBEE — Okeechobee Main Street celebrates the holiday season with its annual Christmas Festival on Saturday, Dec. 10, in Flager Park, 55 S.E. Third Ave. The festival will begin at 10 a.m. and ends that evening with the popular lighted night parade.

Toy giveaway planned

OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee Seventh-day Adventist Church, 412 N.W. Sixth St., will be having a toy giveaway on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (or while supplies last) Traffic and parking will be on the side streets so that Northwest Sixth Street is kept clear for fire and rescue. Santa to tour Okeechobee

OKEECHOBEE – Santa will ride through the City of Okeechobee on the city float on Dec. 13 (Northwest and Northeast sections), Dec. 14 (Southeast section), and Dec. 15 (Southwest section.)

Toy-for-Tots event planned

OKEECHOBEE — Toys-for-Tots distribution will be Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Okeechobee Agri Civic Center, 4601 S.R. 710 E. Distribution will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. Parents must provide proof of Okeechobee residency (Photo ID & utility mail). Children must be present.

Christmas boat parade is Dec. 17

OKEECHOBEE – Okeechobee VFW Post 10539 announces the Christmas Boat Parade will be on Saturday, Dec. 17. Boaters should meet near the Burger King on SR 70 near Taylor Creek at 5:30 p.m. The boat parade will travel down Taylor Creek and end at VFW Post 10539. There will be a prize for the best decorated boat. Enjoy food, raffles and entertainment at the VFW after the parade, Bring your favorite pot of chili to share with everyone! Pet & Family photos taken with Santa Paws

OKEECHOBEE — Bring your family and pets for fun to support a good cause at Okeechobee Cell Phone Repairs, 2939 S.W. Third Terrace, on Sunday, Dec. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Photos with Santa Paws (Steve Gilliland) will be taken by Smiles & Wiggles Photography. The event includes live music with Joel “The Boho Cowboy”, Falling Snow play area, dog nail trims by Fur-Tastic Pet Grooming, Bentley’s Lemonade, and snow cones by Khool Krawigs. Pulled pork dinners and swamp cabbage by Nini’s Country Catering will be available for purchase. Proceeds will support Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control.
