Illegal school bus passing fines have increased

The penalty for illegally passing a stopped school bus that is displaying a stop signal increased to $200 and the fine for illegally passing on the side children enter/exit increased to $400. Effective Jan. 1, 2021.

Drivers convicted of a second offense within a five year period can have their license suspended.
