STUART- The Okeechobee High School Lady Brahman varsity softball team is headed to the 5A District 12 championship.

Okeechobee shutout Port St. Lucie 15-0 in the district semifinal on April 27.

The Lady Brahmans scored seven runs in the first inning, four runs in the second, one in the third, and three in the fourth.

Jaclyn Pearce hit a line drive double in the fourth that scored two, putting Okeechobee up 15-0 and ending the game early due to a mercy rule. Pearce led the team with three hits and four RBIs.

Next the Lady Brahmans will face South Fork in the district championship on April 29 at South Fork High School.
