Local teacher earns ASD endorsement

Posted

OKEECHOBEE - Congratulations Ms. Snowden! Seminole Elementary is very proud of Ms. Tamecia Snowden, the first teacher in the district to earn the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Endorsement.

This endorsement will help her  to assist and empower students with this diagnosis.  The endorsement places special emphasis on skill development and behavioral modification for students of all ages who have been diagnosed on the autism spectrum.

In 2018, the CDC reported that approximately 1 in  59 children has been identified with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
