OKEECHOBEE  -- Okeechobee Main Street is honoring Hometown Heroes. In preparation for Veterans Day, signs are going up in downtown Okeechobee honoring local veterans. Signs in Flagler Park will be displayed during the month of November. The program was open to active, past or deceased honorably discharged military personnel who live or have lived in Okeechobee County. The signs are sponsored by local donors.
