Miss Skye is the daughter of Virona Skye. She is 19 years old. Miss Skye served as the Miss Rodeo Okeechobee Princess 2015. She is attending a certification training to become a hippo therapist. That is a physical therapist that works with the patients using horses in their therapy. Miss Skye has a long list of awards in showing horses, but her love for all things western and its history is a passion.

Miss Thompson is the 17 year old daughter of Todd Thompson. She is in the eleventh grade and will attend college to study animal husbandry and continue to professionally barrel race.

Miss Thompson has always admired the rodeo queens she has meet at various rodeos during her barrel racing career, and loves that they are the ambassadors of the sport. She is thrilled to carry this title.

The court will visit all the elementary schools in Okeechobee’s school District on March 10, 2022 to discuss the rich history of rodeo and gift each second grader with a book, “B is for Buckaroo”. On March 11, the court will deliver sponsor packets to all the Sponsors and personally thank them on behalf of the Rodeo Committee. Look for them in the parade on Saturday, March 12 through downtown at 10 a.m., then at the Cattlemen's Rodeo Arena at 2:15 p.m. where they will officially receive their crowns.

The following Sunday they will attend the rodeo performance at 2 p.m. Please congratulate them when you see them.
