• Okeechobee Main Street wishes everyone a Happy New Year.

• Okeechobee Main Street Office will be closed through Jan. 3. We will see you in the new year on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021.

• The 15th Annual Top of the Lake Art Fest and Taste of Okeechobee will be Feb. 6 and 7.

• Call to Artists will be Saturday, Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Artist can enter in five divisions. For rules, deadline and entry forms, visit www.okeechobeemainstreet.org or visit the office at 111 N.E. Second St. For information, call 863-357-6246.

• Okeechobee Main Street Arts & Culture Alliance Artist Series exhibit is going on now through Jan. 8. Due to the COVID-19 virus and for everyone’s safety, we will not hold an artist’s reception, but we hope you will stop by and see the exhibit at the Okeechobee County Historical Courthouse.

• The Arts & Culture Alliance Committee announces that the Third Annual Photography Juried Show has been rescheduled. New deadline for submission is Jan. 8. The art showing will be in March 2021. Call to photographers for the “Picture: Okeechobee County” photography competition. The theme for this competition is “People of Okeechobee.”

• The Cattle Drive Scuplture Project is accepting donations large or small. To donate visit gofundme or the OKMS website.

• OKMS is seeking volunteers for the Top of the Lake Art Fest and Taste of Okeechobee to be held Feb. 6 and 7; and the Speckled Perch Festival to be held March 13 and 14. Volunteers fuel OKMS’s special events, sit on the board and keep Okeechobee Main Street strong, relevant and making a difference. There’s nothing like being part of a vibrant and energetic community.
