OKEECHOBEE -- Mrs. Gagliano and South Elementary School's 5th grade gifted students have been working on a unit on the legal system. Their culminating project - a mock trial, took place Dec. 3 at the Okeechobee County Courthouse, courtroom B.

Students were greeted by Jerry Bryant, the Clerk of Court. Public Defender, Keandrea Davis assisted the defense team, and Assistant State Attorney Ashley Albright assited the procecution team. Judge Rebecca White oversaw the proceedings.

The jury found the defendant, Cinderella, guilty of theft of a glass slipper. The case number assigned was 472021CF003051CFAXMX, and it can be found on the Okeechobee County Clerk of Court website.
