OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee County Recreation Association (OCRA) has scheduled sign-ups and tryouts for the upcoming football season.

OCRA will be playing 8-man football.

Sign Ups:

• Thursday, Oct. 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Friday, Oct. 22 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• Thursday, Oct. 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• Friday, Oct. 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Monday, Nov. 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, Nov. 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, Nov. 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 4 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

There will be ABSOLUTELY NO late sign ups following the last scheduled sign up date on Thursday, Nov. 4.

Please note there are absolutely no exceptions to the following Tryouts and Drafts to be held on Friday, Nob. 5:
• 6 to 6:30 p.m. - 8 years of age and Under - tackle;
• 6:30 to 7 p.m. - 10 years of age and under - tackle;
• 7 to 7:30 p.m. - 12 years of age and under - tackle;
• 7:30 to 8 p.m. - 15 years of age and under - tackle.

Check in will be conducted at the End Zone closest to the parking lot. After each child has completed their tryouts, they will need to report to the concession stand for uniform/equipment fittings/sizing.

6 years of age and under - Flag football will not have tryouts but will need to be present for fittings between 5:30 and 6 p.m. on the day of tryouts.

Please note: this will be a total of a six game week season; therefore, pricing for this season is as follows:
• Tackle - $75;
• Flag/Cheer - $50.

The child’s birth certificate is required to be present at sign ups.

Registration form will be provided at sign ups, and will need to be filled out completely, including the child’s full legal name and a parent email address and phone number for rostering purposes.

First Games will be played on Nov. 29, and Closing Jamboree will be Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022.
