OCSO deputies complete leadership academy

OKEECHOBEE --  Meet Uniformed Patrol Sergeant Javier Gonzalez and Detective Ryane Ammons. Both just earned the IRSC - Leadership Academy Certificate.

To earn the Leadership Academy certificate, students must complete all of the courses listed below and then apply for graduation. The hours are long, and all travel after workdays to attend these courses.
 
The Courses are as follows:
• Criminal Justice Leader Ethics (24 hours),
• Florida General Instructor Techniques (64 hours),
• Line Supervision (80 hours),
• Middle Management (40 hours),
• Building & Maintaining a Sound Behavioral Climate (40 hours),
• Developing & Maintaining a Sound Organization (40 hours).
 
These individuals were recognized for their continued education within criminal justice.
 
Not pictured but also receiving awards were Uniformed Patrol Sergeant Max Waldron & Uniformed Patrol, Corporal Joseph Hall.
