Okeechobee Arrest Report

The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).

• Nevaje “Jay” Guyton, 14, Okeechobee, was arrested March 17 by OCSO and charged with sexual battery after reportedly assaulting a toddler. He was transferred to the custody of the DJJ.
• Brandon Garrett, 30, West Palm Beach, was arrested March 20 by OCSO and charged with DUI, crash with property damage. Bond was set at $2,000.
• Brandon Tansley, 33, Southeast 34th Avenue, was arrested March 19 by OCSO and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $3,000.
• Justin Vinson, 21, Southwest Seventh Avenue, was arrested March 19 by OCSO and charged with DUI. His breath test results were reported to be 0.157 and 0.155. His bond was set at $750.

• Nassir Sanders, 16, Northeast 168th Street, was arrested March 18 by OCSO and charged with criminal mischief/$1,000 or more. His bond was set at $2,500.
• Daniel Pelham, 44, Northwest Fifth Street, was arrested March 18 by OPD and charged with driving without a license/habitual offender. He was released on his own recognizance.
• Lebron Collins, 17, Northeast 168th Street, was arrested March 17 by OCSO and charged with battery/inmate on inmate. Bond was set at $5,000.
• Carmelo Velez, 32, Southeast 25th Street, was arrested March 19 by OCSO and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $3,000.
• Charles Wilkes, 38, South Carolina, was arrested March 23 by OCSO and charged with grand theft auto and resisting arrest without violence. Bond was set at $5,500.
• Tyler Williams, 27, Georgia, was arrested March 23 by OCSO and charged with DUI. His breath test results were reported as 0.140 and 0.133. His bond was set at $750.
• Daniel Salazar, 38, Northwest 25th Avenue, was arrested March 21 by ONTF and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Bond was set at $50,000.
