OKEECHOBEE -- The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).
• Cary Baker, 49, U.S. 441 Southeast, was arrested Aug. 19 by OCSO and charged with DUI. Bond was set at $500.
• Tharo Shanks, 43, Northeast 13th Avenue, was arrested Aug. 19 by OCSO and charged with battery, inmate on inmate. Bond was set at $3,000.
• James Strickland, 59, Northwest Third Lane, was arrested Aug. 19 by OCSO and charged with fleeing with disregard to safety of others. Bond was set at $2,500.
• Osiel Brito, 23, Northwest 30th Avenue, was arrested Aug. 20 by OCSO and charged with resisting an officer with violence. Bond was set at $100.
• Wayne Hodge, 69, Southeast 27th Street, was arrested Aug. 20 by OCSO and charged with DUI. His breath test results were reported to be 0.131 and 0.129. Bond was set at $500.
• Gaspar Jose, 21, Fort Myers, was arrested Aug. 21 by OCSO and charged with DUI with property damage. His breath test results were reported to be 0.175 and 0.166. Bond was set at $500.
• Jose Urbina, 51, Northwest First Street, was arrested Aug. 25 by OPD and charged with possession of cocaine. Bond was set at $3,500.
• Enevin Lutjen, 36, Northwest 102nd Street, was arrested Aug. 23 by OCSO and charged with battery, second or subsequent offense. Bond was set at $5,000.
• Richard Kerwood, 64, Plant City, was arrested Aug. 25 by ONTF and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $11,000.
• Tiadora Perez, 18, Northeast 104th Court, was arrested Aug. 25 by OPD and charged with grand theft. Bond was set at $2,500.
