Okeechobee Arrest Report


The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).

• Kanyon Billie, 18, Southwest 28th Street, was arrested Nov. 1 by OCSO and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle without a license. Bond was set at $12,000.

• Pedro Lopez de Haro, 38, Northwest First Parkway, was arrested Nov. 1 by OCSO and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license. Bond was set at $11,500.

• Gilbert Tagle, 27, Southeast 98th Trail, was arrested Oct. 28 by OPD and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license/second offense. Bond was set at $6,500.

• Misty Barnes, 36, Northwest 39th Circle, was arrested Oct. 28 by OPD and charged with possession of cocaine. Bond was set at $2,500.

• Ivess Baker, 21, Tucker Ridge Road, was arrested Oct. 31 by OCSO and charged with possession of cocaine, two counts sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church and two counts possession with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church. Bond was set at $105,000.

• Jaylen Baker, 20, Hammock Lane, was arrested Oct. 29 by OCSO and charged with driving without a license and introducing contraband into a detention facility. Bond was set at $2,500.

• James Wilkerson, 50, Northwest 95th Court, was arrested Oct. 29 by OCSO and charged with DUI. Bond was set at $500.

• Timothy Lake, 35, Southeast 86th Boulevard, was arrested Oct. 30 by OCSO and charged with domestic battery by strangulation. Bond was set at $5,000.

• Rafael Brito, 50, Southeast 39th Avenue, was arrested Oct. 30 by OCSO and charged with DUI/third offense within 10 years and driving without a license. Bond was set at $2,750. Brito was placed for one year and completed DUI School in 2013 after pleading no contest to a DUI charge. On Oct. 15 of this year, he was charged with DUI after striking a pole in front of Race Trac as he was leaving the store in his truck. He entered a no contest plea and was sentenced to one year probation. In addition, he was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service, his license was suspended for six months and his vehicle impounded for 10 days.

• Cody Cooper, 26, Southeast 20th Court, was arrested Nov. 2 by OCSO and charged with DUI. Bond was set at $1,000.

• William Bailey, 34, Northeast Fourth Lane, was arrested Nov. 2 by OPD and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $10,750.

• Stephanee Betterley, 39, Southeast 25th Street, was arrested Nov. 2 by OCSO and charged with DUI. Bond was set at $500.

• Savanna O’Brien, 26, State Road 70 West, was arrested Nov. 2 by OCSO and charged with possession of marijuana over 20 grams and driving without a license. Bond was set at $5,500.
