OKEECHOBEE — Okeechobee County has scheduled a partial road closure (one-lane access will be provided) at N.W. 344th Trail, to replace the existing drainage pipe to improve storm water drainage within the area. Traffic is planned to be provided with one-lane access on N.W. 344th Trail for the duration of the project.

The one-lane access is expected to begin on Monday, April 25 at approximately 7:30 a.m. and continue through Thursday, April 28 at 5 p.m. (weather permitting). This project is being completed by our County Public Works Department - Road & Bridge Division, which is expected to provide a cost savings to our taxpayers.

Drivers are urged to follow the directions of the flag men, drive with caution and plan ahead to allow for more time to pass through the area as the traffic volume on surrounding streets may be higher than usual.
