Okeechobee County Commission to meet Nov. 22

OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee County Board of County Commissioners will hold its Regular Session on  Tuesday, Nov 22  at 9 a.m. at the Okeechobee County Historic Courthouse in the "Judge William L. Hendry Courtroom" located at 304 NW 2nd Street, Okeechobee, Florida. 

The board will conduct a swearing in ceremony of new commissioners, and their annual reorganization.

In other business at the Nov. 22 meeting:

-- The board will conduct a public hearing on proposed amendments to the Land Development Regulations.

-- The board will hear a progress report on the jail expansion and renovation project from the architect of record, Joe Mrak with Securitecture, LCC and senior project manager Paul Fernandex with Ajak Building Company LLC.

-- Commissioners will receive a report on the Initial Phase
Agreement between Okeechobee County and HGS, LLC., d/b/a RES Environmental Operating Company for a Stormwater Treatment Project.

-- The board will receive a budget report on the jail expansion project.
