OKEECHOBEE – The Okeechobee County Board of Commissioners will hear an update on the COVID-19 pandemic at their Sept. 9 meeting. The meeting will be held in the Historic Okeechobee County Courthouse, 304 N.W. Second Street and starts at 9 a.m. The meeting will be live online at https://www.co.okeechobee.fl.us/
Other items on the Sept. 9 agenda include:
• Recognition of county employees;
• A proclamation for Hunger Action Month;
• A proclamation for National Suicide Prevention Month;
• Confirmation of Justin Nelson as Capital Projects Director;
• Public hearing on a zoning change request
• Quarterly report from Career Source Heartland;
