OKEECHOBEE -- A county-wide curfew will go into effect starting tonight, Nov. 9, 2022, at 9 p.m., until lifting on Nov. 10, at 7 a.m.

Okeechobee County curfew in effect at 9 p.m.

OKEECHOBEE -- A county-wide curfew will go into effect starting tonight, Nov. 9, 2022, at 9 p.m., until lifting on Nov. 10, at 7 a.m.

During this time, it will be unsafe for anyone to travel on the roadways due to the propensity of flooding, flying debris, and fallen trees and powerlines due to the ground saturation and high winds.
 
The curfew will be strictly enforced within the county and city limits of Okeechobee County.
 
We do this to protect our citizens, visitors, and their property during this elevated storm event, and we do not take this lightly.
