OKEECHOBEE — Between Saturday, Sept. 4 and Thursday, Sept. 9, 73 students and/or staff members were excluded from in-person instruction in Okeechobee County Schools due to possible COVID-19 contact:
• Central Elementary- 0
• District Staff- 0
• Everglades Elementary- 1
• North Elementary- 34
• Okeechobee Achievement Academy- 0
• Okeechobee Freshman Campus- 0
• Okeechobee High School- 0
• Okeechobee Virtual School-0
• Osceola Middle School- 0
During the same time period, 13 students and/or staff tested positive for the virus.

• North Elementary- 5
• Okeechobee Achievement Academy- 0
Since school began on August 10, 2021, 2,971 students and/or staff have been excluded from in-person instruction and 260 have tested positive.
