Okeechobee girls 'pick up the tab' for Christmas

Rowan and Kena created a fundraiser to help local children have a great Christmas.

OKEECHOBEE — Rowan & Kena Cortes, along with our community’s help, did a fantastic job with their “PICKUP THE TAB” fundraiser.

In only a month, these two young ladies collected soda can tabs to raise money to help a local family in need for Christmas. Not only did these compassionate girls go around the entire community talking to local restaurant owners, businesses and organizations, they started an entire movement for our local community to participate in!
