Okeechobee Library celebrates Halloween

OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee County Public Library invites you to join in Halloween festivities.

• In celebration of Halloween, the Okeechobee Library has made Pumpkin Lantern Take-home craft kits! The library will have take-home kits available for you to pick up and do the craft at home! Instructions will be included in the kit; however, there is a video on the library’s YouTube page you can follow along with at: tinyurl.com/okelibrary

So stop on by the library to pick yours up, or call 863-763-3536 to schedule an outside pickup!

• The second annual Floating Pumpkin Patch and Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sports Complex Pool, 580 N.W. 27th Lane. There will be free family swimming, floating pumpkins, pumpkin decorating, face mask decorating, games and more! RSVP by calling 863-763-6950.

• The Okeechobee Library Adult Book Club is back, October’s book is “Dark Witch” by Nora Roberts. Join the library to discuss the book on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m.

• Stay safe and socially distance with Curbside Trick-R-Treat on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. to grab a treat bag and see your librarians dressed as some of your favorite characters. Drive in the north entrance of the library parking lot
