OKEECHOBEE- The Okeechobee County Library kicked of their 2021 summer reading program on June 1. Throughout June and July the library will host an 8 week program that will run until July 24.
From June 8-12 the library will be celebrating dinosaur week featuring tutorials for a “dinosaur breakfast” recipe and a “frozen dinosaur excavation” science project. June 15-19 will be ocean week, 22-26 fairy tale week and June 29-July 3 will be forest week.
July 6-10 will be imaginary creatures week, 13-17 farm week, and the program end with safari week from July 20-24.
The Okeechobee County Library is also looking for volunteers to help with the fun crafts, programs, and library duties this summer. Voluteer shifts run Tuesday through Friday from 3 p.m.- 5 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
