OKEECHOBEE -- Okeechobee Main Street’s 2022 Annual Meeting will be held on April 27 at noon in the meeting room of Brown Cow Sweetery, 103 SW Park St. The meeting will include updates on programs, projects and board elections. The public is welcome.

In April Okeechobee Main Street welcomed new community partners: Gretchen Robertson Insurance Agency, Hooked Accounting Services LLC, Rabon’s Country Feed and C.E.R.T.

Arts Center Classes are now happening at the Arts & Cultural Alliance Art Center. For class schedules, go online to www.OkeechobeeArts.org. April classes include Tuesday Afterschool Classes by Fawn and Bridgette Waldau's ArteVino Class on April 28.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the Cattle Drive Sculpture Project. The deadline is April 20. Go online to www.OkeechobeeArts.org for more information.

The Main Street Art Center Gift Shop is now open Tuesday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Buy the ARTS FL license  tag and support local artists, arts organizations and programs in Okeechobee County. Introduced by the Florida State Legislature in 1994 this specialty license plate raises funds for programming that benefits local arts and cultural projects across the state.

Ask for the Florida “State of the Arts” license plate when you buy your tag and $20 of your specialty plate fee will directly support arts in Okeechobee.

The 2022 Okeechobee Main Street Membership drive is underway.
