For four days, about 30,000 music fans from all over the country will camp on the well maintained grounds and enjoy concerts, art installations, light shows and the chance to make new friends.
Many of the festival-goers are college students on Spring Break. The festival includes an Aqua Chobee area with a small lake and a manmade beach. Sand for the beach was mined on the property.
Tickets for the festival are available at the box office at the Okeechobee Agri-Civic Center, which is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 4 and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 5. Okeechobee County residents get a nice discount on general admission tickets. VIP tickets are sold out.
