OMF 2022 pre-sale tickets go up on June 3

Posted

OKEECHOBEE- Pre-sale tickets will be up for a limited time beginning June 3 at 12 noon for the long-awaited return of Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival.

OMF is scheduled to return to the top of the lake from March 3-6 in 2022.

“After this long year, I couldn’t be more excited to return to Sunshine Grove and be back in nature with all my Okeechobee friends and fam,” said Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac Events. “This festival is all about music, camping out, and making s’mores while dancing in a jungle, grass fields, and on a beautiful beach. It was the last festival I attended before the pandemic hit so I can’t wait to be back!”

In 2020, the Okeechobee Music Festival was held as planned on the first weekend in March, just before the COVID-19 shutdowns kicked in throughout Florida and the country. That made OMF 2020 one of the world’s last music festivals and mass gatherings to successfully take place prior to the COVID-19 pandemic global shutdown. More than 30,000 festival goers were immersed into the world of Okeechobee Fest. The festival’s eclectic lineup featured performances from world-renowned artists including Rüfüs du Sol, Vampire Weekend, Mumford & Sons, Machine Gun Kelly, Kaskade, Glass Animals and more.

No festival was held in 2021.

First founded in 2016, the event was held in both 2017 and 2018 before going on hiatus in 2019. In June 2019, festival promoter Insomniac announced they had acquired a controlling stake in Soundslinger, the original producer of OMF.

The multi-genre music, art and camping festival will bring the tightly-knit OMF community together again for the fifth year and for a short weekend make Okeechobee an epicenter of music, immersive art, food and camping.

General access and VIP ticket and camping packages for OMF 2022 will be available for purchase during the pre-sale at www.okeechobeefest.com.

“It’s been quite a difficult 14 months for all of us, especially everyone in the live event mass gathering community,” said Rechulski, Soundslinger’s Founder. “I hope that music can once again shine as a beacon of light and hope and bring us a much needed distraction. I’m just glad to be back and have the chance to do what I love the most!”

Returning features of OMF for the 2022 festival include some of the most sought after artists and performers taking stage in the lush setting of The Grove, as well as the return of Aquachobee Beach’s daytime performances and parties, plus Jungle 51’s dusk-till-dawn dance party nestled in the heart of the jungle, and Chobeewobee Village’s iconic pop-up performances, bustling bazaar and craft food destination.
