OUA meeting to explain septic-to-sewer project

OKEECHOBEE --  The Okeechobee Utility Authority (OUA) will hold a public meeting on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, at 8:30 a.m., at the OUA Main Office, located at 100 SW Fifth Avenues to discuss the Southwest Service Area (SWSA) Septic-to-Sewer Project.

This meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to become informed about the project, the potential economic and environmental impacts, service area, project alternatives or other matters of concern to the public.

The project will receive financial assistance from the USDA RD Rural Utility Service.

The OUA staff and consultants working on this project will make a presentation on the project followed by a question and answer session.
