Pick a pumpkin at First United Methodist Church

Posted
OKEECHOBEE – The pumpkin patch is back at First United Methodist Church in Okeechobee.

The church’s annual pumpkin patch is back and open for business. Hundreds of orange, white and even blue pumpkins line the church lawn, 200 N.W. Second Street.

The pumpkin patch is open round the clock, with payment on the honor system. Pick a pumpkin, compare it to the sample pumpkins to determine the price, drop the payment in the mail slot and head home to carve or paint your jack-o-lantern.

Prices for traditional orange pumpkins range by size. Miniature pumpkins are 50 cents.

“This is an honor system,” explains the sign. “Make your selection following the guidelines on the window and place your money in the mail slot.”

Funds from the annual pumpkin patch help fund the church’s youth programs.

“We may not be here, but remember, GOD is watching,” explains the sign.
