Pop Up Boutique benefits The Inner Truth Project

Posted

FORT PIERCE  -- Once a year, The Inner Truth Project gathers amazing pre-loved women’s clothing and accessories and hosts a pop-up boutique like no other. The event features an enormous assortment of fabulous designer clothing, bags, shoes, and stuff you might have wanted to pick up for yourself but didn’t want to over-splurge on that, can be yours if you can stuff it into a bag. But that’s not all. The Inner Truth Project’s Pop Up Boutique also boasts food, vendors, self-care, music, free babysitting services (yes, kids are welcome, and children under twelve get in for free with an adult), and so much fun that you’ll wish it happened more than once a year.

This year’s event is “movin’ on up” and will be held on Saturday, May 22, at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce in a larger space than ever before. That means they can fit more clothes, bags, shoes, and fun for you to enjoy. Tickets for the Pop Up Boutique are $40 in advance and $50 at the door, and that gets you in and gives you a bag to fill with anything you can find and fit into it. But wait, there’s more. If you bring extra bags to fill, it’s only $5 per bag to keep on filling – and that means everything – the Jimmy Choo’s you spotted, the Coach bag that makes you salivate, and that little black dress that you just know is going to look great on you. Best of all - every cent of your admission ticket will help The Inner Truth Project continue to provide a host of services, including support groups, meetings, therapy, and healing opportunities for survivors of sexual assault and abuse throughout the Treasure Coast.

According to the Rape Abuse Incest National Network, every 73 seconds, someone in the United States is sexually assaulted, but only five out of every 1,000 rapists will end up in prison. The Inner Truth Project offers weekly yoga and meditation classes, a writing workshop, art classes with objects found around the home, interviews for inspiration, parent groups, and a group for the LGBTQI community, and new and innovative things are added every week. To learn more about The Inner Truth Project, to reserve your spot for the Pop Up Boutique, or to make a donation to help a survivor buy a ticket to the event, call 772-200-4599 today, or visit www.innertruthproject.org.
