Ramps for Veterans builds a metal ramp

Posted

OKEECHOBEE - This month's Ramps for Veterans project had one of the biggest turnouts yet. According to Ramps for Veterans founder Wade Hunt, there were more youth there than he could count. The metal was donated by someone in Belle Glade who preferred to remain anonymous.

Hunt said, "I just want to say thank you to all those who came out today and helped build the ramp and those who donated money to help build a ramp. Without each and every one of you , it would not be possible for us to do this for our veterans who are in need.  Again, I thank you for all your help. Also I had a great time teaching our youth a little more about the trade so that one day maybe they can carry the torch on to the next generation."

Ramps for Veterans builds a ramp for a veteran in need each month free of charge. If you would like to join in the effort either physically or financially, you can visit the Ramps for Veterans Facebook page or call 863-634-8800.
