OKEECHOBEE — As the closing of the challenging year that 2020 has proven to be approaches, the staff of Raulerson Hospital paused with Dr. Trinidad Garcia to remember and honor the service and the character of the late Dr. Manny Garcia. The Garcias were truly instrumental to the very foundation of not only the medical staff, but to the entirety of Raulerson Hospital. CEO Brian Melear hosted Dr. Trinidad Garcia, for a special luncheon to once again, formally, thank and recognize the Garcia family for the more than four decades of care, compassion and great memories Dr. Manny Garcia shared with our colleagues and patients, as well as the community. This couple has truly made their mark on Okeechobee and Raulerson Hospital will always remain thankful for the dedication of these two special physicians who have been part of since before the doors opened in 1979. Although COVID-19 has inhibited the ways Raulerson Hospital has been able to celebrate and honor Dr. Manny Garcia, they wanted to share this tribute to his life of service.
