CLEWISTON — The Clewiston Elks Lodge # 1853 will sponsor the local Hoop Shoot at the Clewiston Christian School (CCS) on Thursday, Nov. 10. The school is located at 601 Caribbean Avenue in Clewiston. Registration is from 4-5 p.m. at CCS.
Eligibility is determined by the age of contestants as of April 1, 2023. The age groups are 8-9. 10-11, and 12-13. Parent signature is required at registration.
Awards will be presented to the top three boys and girls in each division. There is no charge for this event.
Medal winners will be invited to compete in the Elks Southeast District Hoop Shoot on Dec. 3 in Jupiter. Winners at the district level will move on to the Regional Hoop Shoot. The Elks State Hoop Shoot will be held in February at the Elks Camp in Umatilla.
